North Eastern Space Applications Centre(NESAC), Umiam is an autonomous body functioning under the Department of Space and North Eastern Council (NEC) to assist development process in North Eastern Region using space science and technology. It undertakes specific applications projects using remote sensing, GIS, satellite communication and conducting space science research. The Centre’s services are helpful in natural resources management, infrastructure planning, health, education, disaster management and Earth Observation Applications Mission.
North Eastern Space Applications Centre (NESAC) provides excellent career opportunities for professional growth and promotion to higher grades which are regulated through periodical technical performance based on Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) reviews under merit-based promotion scheme. Applications are invited from the eligible candidates for the following position:

Pay Scale: Rs.56,100 – Rs.1,77,500/-
Essential Qualification: M.Sc (Agriculture) in Agronomy/ Horticulture/ Crop Physiology/Plant Physiology/ Agricultural Physics/Agricultural Meteorology/Agricultural Statistics with B.Sc as prequalification. M.Sc degree should be in first class with an aggregate minimum of 65% (average of all semesters) or CGPA/CPI grading of 6.84 on a 10 scale or equivalent with 1st Class B.Sc as pre-qualification.
Desirable Qualification and Experience: M.Tech/P.G Diploma (PGD) in Remote Sensing and GIS or equivalent*. Preference will be given to candidates working in the area of space technology applications with microwave/ hyper-spectral remote sensing.

Applications will be received On-Line only. The online recruitment portal will be available from 18.10.2018 to 17.11.2018(03.12.2018) for registration of application. Interested candidates may visit our http://www.nesac.gov.inwebsite for detailed advertisement and filling-up of an online application form.
Those who possess the required qualification as on 17.11.2018(03.12.2018) only need to apply. If any information furnished in the online application is found false at any stage of a recruitment process, the candidature will be cancelled.
After registration takes two printouts of the application summary. One print-out of the filled-in online application form along with Rs. 250/- Demand Draft should be sent to the below address on or before 11.12.2018 (27.12.2018) through Indian Speed Post only, failing which your candidature will be cancelled and another print out is to be brought along with passport size photograph and documents supporting the data furnished in the application at the time of Interview. Please note that site will not be open for printing after 15:00 hours of 25.11.2018 (10.12.2018). Kindly write clearly your name on the back side of Demand Draft. NESAC will not be responsible for any postal delay or loss of Demand Draft in transit.

Application Fee: Candidate should obtain Rs. 250/- Demand Draft from any Scheduled Bank before Applying Online for the post.
Selection Process: The qualification prescribed is the minimum requirement and possession of the same does not automatically make the candidates eligible to be called for interview. A duly constituted Screening Committee shall screen the applications received for the posts based on the given eligibility criteria and may fix criteria as it may consider necessary for shortlisting the candidates for interview. In case the candidate is claiming equivalent specialization, he/she has to obtain a certificate from his/her institute/university stating that the specialization is equivalent to the one asked in the advertisement for the post applied for. A final decision on this will be taken by the Screening Committee. The screened in/shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview before the Selection Committee. Communication shall be sent only to the screened-in/shortlisted candidates. North Eastern Space Applications Centre (NESAC) will not entertain any correspondence on the issue of short-listing of candidates. The call letters for the interview to the short-listed candidates will be sent only by e-mail. No communication shall be made to the candidates who are not short-listed/Screened in.
Only passed candidates are eligible to apply. Students waiting for final result need not apply.

No interim correspondence will be entertained. In case of any clarification, candidates may send their mail firstname.lastname@example.org to with clearly mentioning the name of the post in the subject of the e-mail otherwise the query may not be responded and North Eastern Space Applications Centre (NESAC) will not be responsible for not responding.

The selected candidates shall be posted at NESAC, Umiam.
Candidates attending the interview will be reimbursed to and fro second-class train fare by the shortest route from a place of residence indicated in the application form to the place of interview.
Candidates called for interview will have to produce all relevant original documents in proof of details furnished in the application along with a set of self-attested photocopies. Candidates who are already employed under Central/State Government, Public Sector Undertakings or Autonomous Bodies will also have to produce the 'No Objection Certificate', in original, at the time of interview. In case the candidate fails to produce any of the above documents or if any information furnished in the application is found to be wrong or false, the candidate will not be interviewed and TA will not be paid.
The prescribed experience should be after acquiring the essential qualification.
The last date for printing of completely submitted online application is 25.11.2018(10.12.2018).
The last date for receiving demand draft and print out of duly filled-in application form is 11.12.2018 (27.12.2018) through speed post.
