Applications are invited for the following Purely Project/Contractual-Based Positions. 1. Name of the post: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)/Junior Project Fellow (JPF)

Project Title: “Enhancing eco-cultural livelihoods in biodiversity-rich areas of Arunachal Himalaya” 

No. of the post: 02 (Two Posts)

Remuneration: 

  • Rs. 25,000/- pm + HRA for JRF
  • Rs. 16,000/- pm + HRA for JPF

Age Limit: Maximum of 28 years

Educational Qualification: First Class Masters degree in Botany/Zoology/Forestry/Environmental Science/Ag. Science/ Rural Management/ Forestry/Social Sciences.

OR

First Class B.E. or B. Tech in Agricultural Engineering/Environmental Engineering

Desirable: Experience in writing research reports, dissertation reports,

OR

Experience in Rural Development and RS & GIS

2. Name of the post: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)/Junior Project Fellow (JPF)

Project Title: “Forest Resource and Plant Diversity”

Remuneration: 

  • Rs. 25,000/- pm + HRA for JRF
  • Rs. 16,000/- pm + HRA for JPF

Age Limit: Maximum of 28 years

Educational Qualification: First Class Masters degree in Botany/Forestry/Environmental Science/Agricultural Science/ Geography/ Geology/Remote sensing & GIS.

Desirable: 1) Experience in field work, writing research reports /papers, Experience in RS & GIS.

2) Physically fit to work in the Himalayan Mountains.

3. Name of the post: Senior Research Fellow (SRF)/Senior Project Fellow (SPF) "OR" Junior Research Fellow (JRF)/Junior Project Fellow (JPF)

Project Title: “Assessment of floral biodiversity & resource utilization pattern with Special reference to climate change in high altitude wetlands of Arunachal Pradesh of Eastern Himalaya”

No. of the post: 01 (One Post)

Remuneration: 

  • Rs. 28,000/- pm + HRA for NET qualified SRF/SPF
  • Rs. 18,000/- pm + HRA for Non-NET Personnel SRF/SPF
  • Rs. 25,000/- pm + HRA for JRF
  • Rs. 16,000/- pm + HRA for JPF

Age Limit:

  • Maximum of 32 years for SRF/SPF
  • Maximum of 28 years for JRF/JPF

Educational Qualification: M.Sc. in Botany/Forestry/Environmental Science/ Agricultural Science/ Geography/ Geology/Remote sensing & GIS with First division and 2 years of research experience for SRF/SPF.

Desirable: 1) Physically fit to work in the high altitude areas of Himalaya. Preference will be given to the candidates having work experience in the field of ecology and plant taxonomy.

Project Title: “Anthropogenic impacts and their management options in the different ecosystem of Indian Himalayan Region”

Remuneration: Rs. 10,000/- (Fixed)

Age Limit: Maximum of 28 years

Educational Qualification: Graduate in Science from a recognized University

Desirable: 1) Experience in carrying out field/household surveys with communities in Himalayan terrain.

2) Physically fit to work in the Himalayan region.

5. Name of the post: Himalayan Junior Research Fellow/ Project Fellow

Project Title: “Environmental Assessment & Management of LTEM sites".

No. of the post: 01 (One Post)

Remuneration:

  • Rs. 25,000/- pm + HRA for HJRF
  • Rs. 16,000/- pm + HRA for HJRP

Age Limit: Maximum of 28 years

Educational Qualification: First Class Masters degree in Environmental Science/Water Resources/Soil & Water Conservation/Geography/Geology/Remote sensing & GIS, any other relevant fields.

OR

B.E./B. Tech in Environmental Engineering/ Agricultural Engineering/ Civil Engineering

Desirable:1) Experience in writing research reports, dissertation reports,

2) Experience in RS & GIS, hydrological modeling,

3) Physically fit to work in the Himalayan Mountains.

6. Name of the post: Himalayan Junior Research Fellow/ Project Fellow

Project Title: “Assessment of biochemical and phytochemical content of selected threatened and high-value plants with diverse environmental conditions”.

Remuneration:

  • Rs. 25,000/- pm + HRA for HJRF
  • Rs. 16,000/- pm + HRA for HJRP

Age Limit: Maximum of 28 years

Educational Qualification: First Class Masters degree in Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Environmental Physiology/Chemistry/Microbiology.

OR

B.E./B. Tech in Biotechnology, Biochemical Engineering, Chemical Engineering,

Desirable:1) Experience in writing research reports, dissertation reports,

2) Experience of plant biochemical & phytochemical analysis

3) Physically fit to work in the Himalayan Mountains

7. Name of the post: Project coordinator

Project Title: “Landscape Initiative for far Eastern Himalaya”.

No. of the post: 01 (One Post)

Remuneration: Rs. 55,000/- per month fixed

Age Limit: Maximum of 40 years

Educational Qualification: Ph.D. degree in Life Sciences/Environmental Science/Social Sciences/Natural resource Management/ Forestry.

OR

First Class Masters degree in Life/Environment/ Social Sciences with a consistently good academic record and 10 years working experience in areas related to natural resource assessment/ monitoring/management or resource mobilization /capacity development, other support to overall project initiation, implementation, development.

Desirable:1) Experience of multi-institutional/international project management;

2) Experience of working in remote mountainous areas and with rural communities Good communication skills and computer knowledge.

8. Name of the post: Field Coordinating staff

Project Title: “Landscape Initiative for far Eastern Himalaya”.

Remuneration: Rs. 18,000/- per month fixed

Age Limit: Maximum of 28 years

Educational Qualification: First Class Masters degree in Life/Environment/ Social Sciences with a consistently good academic record.

Desirable: Experience of working in remote mountainous areas and with rural communities Good communication skills and computer knowledge.
