National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER)-Guwahati is the fifth Institute to be included in the list of premier Institutes under the Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Govt. of India. The National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER)-Guwahati started functioning from the month of September 2008. The Institute is presently housed at the "NIPS, Mirza, Kamrup, Assam". The Institute has excellent facilities for Advanced Education and Research in Pharmaceutical Sciences and is looking for Project/Non-Teaching Staff with good experience to contribute to building this Institute as one of the best Centers for Excellence. Presently the Institute is offering M.S (Pharm.) and Ph. D Programmes in five branches and plans to expand further.

Walk-in-Interview will be held on 15.12.2018 (Saturday) to fill up the following Non-Teaching positions on "Contract Basis" for the projects funded by Govt. of India/Institute:

1. Name of the Post: Technical Assistant (Pharmaceutical Analysis)

No. of the Post: 01 (One)

Age Limit: 30 Years (Age limit is relaxable by five years for SC, ST, OBCs and physically handicapped on a production of suitable certificates from the competent authority. Women candidates are also given relaxation of five years "AND" Age relaxation will be considered for higher qualification candidates also).

Salary: Rs 23,400/-

Educational Qualification: First class in Masters Degree in M.S./M.Pharm (Pharmaceutical Analysis/Quality Assurance/ Pharmaceutics)/M.Tech. (Pharmaceutical Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering)/Pharmaceutical Technology/M.Sc. (Analytical Chemistry).

Desirable experience: Hands on experience on HPLC, quality control, quality assurance and formulation development. Preference will be given to the candidates having publications in SCI-indexed journals.

2. Name of the Post: Technical Assistant (Pharmacology & Toxicology)

No. of the Post: 01 (One)

Age Limit: 30 Years (Age limit is relaxable by five years for SC, ST, OBCs and physically handicapped on a production of suitable certificates from the competent authority. Women candidates are also given relaxation of five years "AND" Age relaxation will be considered for higher qualification candidates also).

Salary: Rs 23,400/-

Educational Qualification: First class in Masters Degree in MS/M.Pharm Pharmacology & Toxicology or Regulatory Toxicology or MVSc or MSc in zoology, biotechnology or biochemistry or BVSC with 2 years experience.

Desirable experience: Should have experience in animal experiments, basic techniques like flow cytometer etc., Preference will be given to the candidates having publications in SCI-indexed journals.

How to Apply: Those who have fulfilled the above qualification are required to attend the Walk-In-Interview along with the Filled in Application, Original Certificates and One Set of Self-Attested Xerox copies of Certificates. Certificate verification will commence ½ an hour before the scheduled time of the interview.

General Information:

  • Qualification, the experience will be decided on the date of walk-in interview.
  • The Director reserves the right to withdraw any or all posts so advertised at any time without assigning any reason. Proposed requirements are for the intermittent period till posts are sanctioned by the Govt. of India.
  • On the recommendation of the selection committee, the competent authority may relax all or any of the requirements related to age, qualification and experience inexperienced and deserving cases. Higher starting pay may be considered in case of the extra meritorious candidate and Salary will be fixed at the time of interview based on the experience of the candidate.
  • Incomplete application or without relevant supporting enclosures (attested copies of degrees/certificates/ marks sheets/experience certificates / Document certifying the date of birth, reprint of important publications etc.) will be out-rightly rejected.
  • No interim enquiries/correspondence/communication will be entertained.
  • All appointments are Temporary and Contractual in nature and the same is renewable depending upon performance and mutual consent for every year. The candidate will have no right to claim for regularization. All appointments are contractual in nature and on fixed/consolidated pay.
